Then, out of nowhere, he also has Jared (gorgeous, wonderful, socially retarded, and already taken), and his life turns upside down in the blink of an eye. For the first time, Jensen has found what he wants, but how is he going to get it?

Enter Jensen Ackles, workaholic and caffeine-addict, mostly focused on his own misery… until he decides to return the favor by paying back his benefactor through Misha again, while at the same time meeting a a regular from the coffee shop with a dimpled, endless smile that might just keep him sane.

Jared could be drawn to Jensen, in the sharp suit and the perfect smile … if it weren’t because he may already be falling for someone he has never met.

Even if the man roared and called himself ‘Beast.’ Because under the hood, Jared was sure he caught a glimpse of a prince in those green eyes.

Jared drags him to clubs and parties and award ceremonies without any care for how difficult he’s making Jensen’s job, and to his complete lack of surprise, they hate each other. But when hate changes into passion, it begins to reveal something deeper between them, and Jensen realizes he’s in over his head. Can he still do his job and keep Jared safe? Or will he fall prey to his greatest fear and fail someone… again?

Summary: Laying your heart on the line while drunk off your ass is never a good idea, and nobody knows that better than Jensen, editor-in-chief of Coda Online. But a fifth of whiskey and one incredibly wasted blog post does give him the chance to rebuild his friendship with Jared, who he hasn’t spoken to in two years. Now all he has to do is convince Jared that he’s not the same guy he was in college, which may prove difficult since Jared’s not, either.

At 30 Jensen wakes up with retrograde amnesia, his last memories of being 19 and happy. As he struggles to regain his memory and find out who he is, Jensen has to face the harsh truths of who he became and how he treated Jared. Determined not to make the same mistakes again, Jensen starts to get his life back on track and try to win an engaged and angry Jared back.

And now Sandy is insisting that Jared help her plan the wedding. She thinks it’s a good idea. Jared thinks she’s nuts. Because the only thing this could lead to is heartbreak. Right?
